“The Wire” s03e11 - Omar Little and Brother Mouzone (“Drop your laundry and turn slowly.”)
This is where I am in my first run through this show. If you missed “The Wire”, you mostly likely don’t care at all, but if you’ve seen it, chances are you know it and love it, and you can identify with the unique pleasure I’ve just experienced from a scene like the one above. It was a long time coming, but now I’m with you.
Of course, I thought his name was “Brother Moves On”. Probably common. It was a great character name, especially for a Fruit of Islam-sympathetic freelance mercenary. Mouzone, I’m told by C.I.s (or “informants”) is Arabic for judicious. Regardless, I wouldn’t mind a spinoff, maybe even a sitcom or makeover show with Omar Little and Brother Mouzone. I just want these characters to live forever. They do, right? (No spoilers.)
