on getting caught by mom while… you know, pulling on your weener:

i hesitated to cover this video podcast that Boingboing picked up a while back (okay, it’s because of the title), but it’s actually an awesome and informative sex ed show in 5-minute episodes of sketches and re-enactments made specifically for teens, specifically by 20-somethings in the midwest. and i’m not saying i didn’t know all of this stuff, i’ve totally had sex, like a ton of times. but i was hooked immediately because the show is funny as all hell. the people that make it have a wicked sense of humor and get away with a lot more than anything around when i was young and uncomfortable in my own virginal, oily skin.
each episode (they’re on 8 now) is better than the last. they’re doing important work and they’re doing it in a way that the people they’re talking to will listen.
