Fishback Powers
As heard on Day to Day this morning, throughout the lifespan of the popular Christian-themed poem and fridge magnet “Footprints in the Sand”, authorship has been disputed between three separate parties. The most recent to claim copyright is the estate of Margaret Fishback Powers.
Were it left to me to decide, I’d go with Margaret Fishback Powers. Because her name is Margaret Fishback Powers. And I believe, from the depths of my soul, that there’s a little Fishback Powers in each and every one of us.
