I love this thing so very much. Go fullscreen and the effect is mesmerizing. It’s as close an approximation of translating old content to a new medium as I’ve seen yet. The effect of the faux-video noise is enough to make this a valid proof-of-concept for something much larger.
Mine was a VHS family, so the Betamax aspect isn’t important to me, but the formula of nostalgic programming + nostalgic framing + nostalgic artifacting = TIME TRAVEL.
